Lawrence Alkin Gallery is an independently run, commercial art gallery in the heart of Soho, London. The Gallery deals with both mainstream British artists and top global creatives, it also develops and establishes the next generation of artists through exhibitions, events and exclusive publications.
Objective: The gallery has approached us to help and improve their social media outreach through engaging with existing and potential customers, artists as well as attracting leads online through improved SEO and Google rankings.
We kicked off the campaign with social media training and guidance for the staff, giving them confidence to submit social media post ideas, informing about the latest social trends and third party tools. We proposed to centrally manage social media accounts to maintain consistency, ensuring content targets are being met and measured as well as ensuring conversations are continued online and potential customers are being engaged in a timely and professional manner.
With search engine optimisation (SEO) best practices and procedures changing all the time, we suggested conducting periodic assessments to determine whether or not adjustments need to be made to the site. We also prepared a local SEO strategy to improve Lawrence Alkin Gallery website’s authority as well as rankings for the three main search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing) through link building tactics, social media and onsite content.
Results: After three months all social media accounts grew by at least 30 percent and overall reach and impressions have doubled. Our efforts also helped to increase monthly unique users by 44 percent.
